Lighting Design & Energy Upgrades in Tenerife
Good lighting design is a balance of task, ambient, and accent light — and most residential properties in Tenerife are underlit in some areas and over-lit in others. We survey the existing installation, discuss how each space is used, and produce a lighting layout that addresses both function and atmosphere. Switching can be as simple as single-room dimmers or as sophisticated as KNX-programmed scenes that adjust colour temperature and intensity automatically through the day.
LED retrofit is the single highest-return energy upgrade available. Replacing halogen downlights with high-CRI LED equivalents cuts the lighting load by 70–80% and eliminates the heat output that drives up cooling costs in summer. We specify LED drivers and lamps to avoid flicker and maintain consistent colour rendering across fittings — important in kitchens and bathrooms where cheap LEDs often produce a visible pulse.
Garden and exterior lighting is another area where we do a lot of work: low-voltage LED path lights, IP65-rated wall lanterns, underwater pond and pool lighting, and facade uplighting.
