EV Charger Installation

Home EV charge points installed and certified properly — sized for your supply, your car, and whatever you’re planning to add next.

Charging an EV from a standard socket overnight is slow and not what most sockets are rated for long-term. We install dedicated home EV charge points — assessing your existing electrical supply first to make sure it can actually take the extra load, then fitting and certifying a charger sized correctly for your vehicle and your property.

What’s included in an EV charger installation

  • Supply assessment — checking your consumer unit and incoming supply can handle the charger.
  • Charger supply and fitting — wallbox mounted and wired to a dedicated circuit.
  • Load management — so the charger doesn’t trip the rest of the house when it’s running.
  • Outdoor and garage installations — weatherproof fittings where needed.
  • Certification — signed off and registered as required.

A dedicated charger is several times faster than a standard socket and is built to handle the sustained load of charging overnight, every night, without the wear a regular socket isn’t designed for. It also future-proofs the property — if you’re adding solar or a second EV later, having the supply properly assessed now avoids a second, more disruptive job.

EV Charger Installation in Tenerife

We supply and install Type 2 AC home chargers at 7 kW (single-phase) and 22 kW (three-phase), as well as DC fast chargers for commercial and communal installations. All chargers are OCPP-compatible where required, allowing load management and integration with building energy management systems. The installation includes a dedicated MCB in the consumer unit, earthing to IEC 60364-7-722, and a metering socket where required by the network operator.

Spanish regulations require that EV charger installations in residential buildings are notified to the local distributor network and that the installation is carried out by a registered electrician with the appropriate REBT certification. We handle the notification paperwork and issue the installation certificate as part of every job — so you are not left to manage a bureaucratic process on your own.

Load balancing is an important consideration in apartment buildings and properties with limited supply capacity. We can install dynamic load management controllers that monitor the main supply current and reduce charger output automatically when other appliances push consumption toward the supply limit — preventing tripped breakers and avoiding the cost of a supply upgrade.
